Cardamom is a spice made from the pods' seeds of various plants. Cardamom Pods have a triangular cross-section and are spindle-shaped. The pods contain a number of seeds, but the entire cardamom pod can be used as ground or whole.
Javentry-Mace is the outer shell of the nutmeg fruit. It has a lighter, sweeter flavour. Whole mace spice is the entire outer casing of nutmeg and is used to add a rich red-orange hue and delicate sweet woodsy flavour to dishes. Mace and nutmeg are both very widely used worldwide and have a variety of culinary applications as both a garnish and spice.
